At the Mary C Jenkins Community Center on June 25th at 4:00, Tyree Griffin drew the winning raffle ticket from all entries.

Drum Roll please, Alice Wellborn is the lucky WINNER! Congratulations Alice!

MANY THANKS to all who pitched in, selling tickets, buying tickets, spreading the word, calculating online entries and wishing us well. Of course, our deepest gratitude is to Brevard Music Center for the best ever donation of four front row tickets to the Mavis Staples concert and a pre-concert dinner in one of their new “Gazebos on the Green.”

Our gross proceeds totaled $1110.

The concert package includes a catered pre-concert dinner from, Quixote Restaurant, who provide menu options, personal service, setup and cleanup, a $400 value.

Picture yourself and three others dear to you in the front row for a summer evening with living legend Mavis Staples
in concert at Brevard Music Center’s Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium.
You’ll be front and center in the powerful presence of the iconic voice of gospel, soul, and folk anthems.

Sunday June 29th, 2025 7:30PM

The Transylvania County NAACP, in partnership with BMC, is raffling this exceptional package; valued at $400: four front-row seats at the Sunday, June 29 concert preceded by a gourmet picnic supper on the grounds of BMC.

Mavis Staples is the most underrated diva of the century.
She has an almost superhuman ability to implant the pure power of passion and emotion.”
